We will be showing two films on a large outdoor screen

When: Doors open at 4:30pm – Movie starts at 5:00pm
Price: £3 suggested donation for single Childs entry

Parents go FREE if accompanied by a child!!!

Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult

Top Gun

When: Doors open at 7:00pm – Movie starts at 7:45pm
Price: £10 suggested donation for single entry or £30 for a group of 4

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult

Art Show

Come and join us for a wonderful art exhibition and sale, located in Kimpton’s beautiful Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul.  See and purchase works from more than 100 local artists and listen to live music

Price: £5 entry including a complementary glass of wine or juice

Wine Tasting

Wines from the Old and New World.  Sample them in the expert company of Mark Buckingham from the Wine Society

Art Show and Sale

Craft Market

Where: Kimpton Primary School

When: Assembles at 12 noon at the western end of the High Street (east of the Luton Road junction)  It will leave at 12.30 pm heading towards the Recreation Ground
In the interests of safety, the High Street will be closed to through traffic from 12 noon until approx. 1.30 pm

Leading the procession: Eternal Taal will bring the festival alive with their combination of Dhol drumming and Bhangra dancing. The award winning group who have appeared across the globe, from Glastonbury to Bollywood, will entertain the crowds with their unique mix of contemporary and bhangra music, and will also insist you take part too when they perform in the main arena

Savage Skills: the most accomplished stunt show team in the United Kingdom and quite possibly the World. The facts speak for themselves; with 8 World and over 25 British Championship titles, you’re sure to see some of the most impressive tricks, jumps and stunts possible, many of which would not think possible on a bicycle – prepare to be amazed

Have a go yourself at the Savage skills bike course on the Recreation Ground. Mentored by the Savage Skills team riders, open to all ages, bikes and helmets provided

English school of Falconry: Based at Herrings Green Farm in Wilstead, Beds, they have over 200 Birds for you to meet and even fly yourself!  Pop over to the stand to get up close and personal

Kimpton Variety Show

Tim and Roly (also known as Victor and Albert) have delighted Kimpton audiences for the last few years, not least over May Festival. Now they are back – as the hosts of the Kimpton Variety Show!

Did you see their wonderful Operatic Mayhem of a show that they took to the Caribbean? If you did, you will know just how brilliant they are! They could be the show by themselves, but to have them acting as compere will bring our May Festival Saturday night into a new dimension!’

Mini and Junior Tennis

Come and try your hand at playing tennis – children from age 4 – 14 welcome
All equipment is provided – just turn up and have fun

Where: Parkfield Sports Ground

Church Service

The May Festival theme of ‘Transport’ inspires us to think of journeys we have made
Where is the furthest place you have travelled to? By air, road, rail or walking?
Our lives are journeys in themselves and our May Festival service will explore ways in which we can make that journey more fulfilling.

Craft Demonstrations

Wood, Felt, Lace, Clay, Glass…..Come along and see a range of crafts demonstrated
Have a go! Try your hand at throwing a pot or making jewellery
There’ll be refreshments too!

Where: Kimpton Primary School Hall, High Street
When: 11 am to 4 pm

5 a side Football

Get your mates together to form a team of 5 (plus 1 sub), one of whom must be a resident of the Kimpton parish
The tournament is in three school year groups: Years 1-3, 4-6, 7-9
A trophy will be presented to each member of the winning teams and to the runners-up

Pimms’ and Jazz

May Festival Sunday just wouldn’t be the same without Christine’s Stackyard Stompers, cream teas and Pimms

The “Stackyard Six” will knock your socks off with their mix of New Orleans Traditional and Dixieland Jazz
Christine complements trombone with vocals and John Pickett on trumpet and Swanee Slide Whistle is always a main attraction

Brains of Kimpton Final

It’s time to give the grey cells an airing as the popular but challenging Brains of Kimpton Quiz is back
Teams of three answer questions on general knowledge plus Science and Nature, Sport, the Arts and History
The teams represent local groups or are formed ad-hoc for the competition

The final will be between Kimpton WI, Kimpton Cricket Club and Kimpton Church

Final night will also feature a quiz for the audience to complete with a prize for the winners

When: Doors and bar open at 7.30 pm and the final will start at 8 pm
Price: £3 entry on the door

Music Night

This year features the Take That Experience
Wowing audiences everywhere they go with their amazing vocals, stunning costumes and electrifying dance routines, The Take That Experience continue to successfully recreate the magic of ‘Take That’ after eight years on the road together
The Take That Experience bring you all the classic songs you know and love, from the 90’s through to the present, including smash hits ‘Pray’, ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Patience’, ‘Shine’ and ‘These Days’ which will have dancing until you drop
The band also features a permanent ‘Robbie’ who brings alive songs such as ‘Angels’, ‘Rock DJ’ and ‘Candy’ to an already explosive show
